Vihaan: I like religion because it brings positivity to the life.

Sushant: Does it bring it for everyone?

Vihaan: For me it does.

Nishant: Everything has positive and negatives.

Vihaan: Religion not as in God. But like..

Sushant: Hope?

Vihaan: Yes

Sushant: One and maybe the only thing i find good in religion is that it gives hope for those who believe.

Nishant: Like people who are down in life might go to religion or god for hope.

Vihaan: One more thing on this is that I fear Death, well not death but like what is after death? I fear that.

Sushant: Where does religion come in here?

Vihaan: Like a concept of after death of heaven and hell etc, it stays in back of my mind.

Nishant: In this age of science, we are not sure about the after death.

Sushant: So your (Vihaan) point was that after death, it is heaven or hell, and hell scares people and heaven is everyones choice. Now tell me, a 5 yr old religious kid from a religious family dies of cancer while in a lot of pain and let's assume he goes to heaven. Now why would you assume that YOU will go to heaven as well and why care about what happens after death, When in this life that kid died a horrible death while believing in god.

Vihaan: umm... good point. See i get it when I'm here but when I go home and the environment is different. (Religious family)

Sushant: See everyones experience is different. Some people might have coincidences that they relate to religion/god and some people might not.

Nishant: I have a real life case, someone I know comes from religious family and is religious. Does not drink, smoke, etc. But prays a lot. Does lot of religious stuff. aaaand he got cancer.

Sushant: Like real case from Munna Bhai movie.

Vihaan: Yea.

Nishant: So what diddy do?

Vihaan: People say because of past life sins.

(rant incoming)

Sushant: Any proof of that? Well I say there is no past life. I don't have any proof. Just like them.

And you know what, even if I admit there is a God, why do i have to do something extra in my life to get good things done or avoid bad things done to me. If I know what is right and what is wrong, and I always walk on the right path, do i need God or need to believe in him?

And looking at life I see lots of horrible shit going on to good people. That means God ain't fair or is not good at his job. So what is the point? If a criminal can have a better life than an innocent kid, then fuck this man, life and god aint fair.

Also I say I want to start believing in god, which one do I choose?

Vihaan: All Gods are one.

Sushant: Then why does everyone fight over religion? Seems like you're the one believing it not everyone. Just like I believe in agnosticism.

And one more thing, how does a religion start?

What if I start believing in something or someone, say Eminem, I start saying Eminem is my god. And I get followers slowly. Like that cult leader Jim John or Jim Jo.. Jim Jam whatever. I start with maybe 10 followers then after a year 100 and so on. And after a 1000 years I have 10m followers who believe in Eminem as their god. And who the fuck and I who made this religion? A fucking stoned stupid ass.

(rant over)

Nishant: There are lot of things are tied to religion but have some logical reason behind it, like fasting - for better health, women on periods not allowed to work in kitchen - to get rest, and so many rules and rituals etc.

Sushant: But now we live in this day and age of information where we know all this already so why keep following it?

Nishant: Exactly. And lot of things are just to create fear of god so people dont do wrong.

Sushant: But that does not stop people from doing wrong.

Nishant: Yea, and everyone fears how they want to.

Sushant: Like they follow what's best for them. and ignore what's not. People rather believe in God then do good.
