Why We Write

Why do we write? I don’t know, I could give you the usual jargon about communicating our thoughts but no. Writing, at least for me, goes way deeper than that. My biggest task, the sole reason I write is to make people not just read, understand. But to feel. I'm not a Kendrick Lamar of a writer. I'm a very lil Wayne of a writer. Whatever I’m feeling I very desperately want to make the reader feel. If I can do that I get a feeling of ecstasy. A literary orgasm if you will.
So I don’t believe in using fancy words or big unreadable language. That's why I don’t like the way Shashi Tharoor writes. That's why I prefer Amish Tripathi way more. And it's not just about writing. This extends to other fields as well like acting and singing.
The truth is that the core of human nature and communication is based upon feelings. In hindi they teach that language(bhasha) is used to transfer our thoughts and that is true. but overtime it also became a medium for exchange of emotions. That's the reason that every language has so many exclamations and cuss words.
So it doesn’t matter if your favourite actor is Al Pacino or Robert Di Nero, if you like future more than Eminem, if you like Amish Tripathi more than Shashi Tharoor because at the end of the day all that matters is what they make you feel, and if you like to feel what they make you feel.
